ETA-IL

If you have a passport that is not from Israel, you must fill out a form called ETA-IL, which permits you to enter Israel, and it is good for two years or until your passport expires. If you already have a valid ETA-IL from previous trips to Israel, and your passport did not expire in the interim, there is no need for a new one.

Student Visa

At passport control at the airport in Israel, you will receive a three-month tourist visa (that small blue slip of paper that lets you out into baggage claim) that you must keep with your passport. We will help you renew that visa at the Interior Ministry. You will then receive a student visa valid until the end of the school year.

  • It is imperative that your passport is valid for at least 6 months after the program end date.
  • Students whose parents were born in Israel or have Israeli citizenship must enter Israel with an Israeli passport. You will need to take care of this at your local Israeli consulate before your arrival, as the process is detailed and requires specific documentation.
  • If your 18th birthday is after the school year begins, you may need to apply for a student visa at your local consulate before your arrival.
