Making a Difference in Our Community

At Midreshet Lindenbaum, we believe that being part of Israel means being part of the community around us.

We partner with a variety of organizations throughout Yerushalayim, giving our students meaningful opportunities to volunteer for a few hours each week.

Our students have volunteered with organizations including:

• One Family Fund — serving as “Big Sisters” and supporting victims of terror and their families
• Friendship Circle — helping at the local chapter and connecting with children and families
• Shalva — supporting the Israel Association for the Care and Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities
• Beit Sababa — making regular visits and building meaningful connections with residents of a local nursing home

Supporting Our Local Community

In recent years, our volunteering has expanded into the Arnona and Armon Hanatziv communities.

Students have supported:

• Families raising children with special needs
• Homebound senior citizens
• Families of IDF soldiers serving extended reserve duty

These experiences allow our students to respond to real needs and build lasting connections within the community.

In addition to weekly volunteering, we offer regular group volunteer opportunities throughout the year.

Some are planned in advance, while others arise spontaneously in response to emerging needs in the community. Whether it’s a scheduled project or an opportunity to step up when help is needed, our students are encouraged to get involved, give back, and make a difference.
