Rav Eitan Aviner, Philosophy Faculty

Rav Eitan Aviner is a multi-disciplinary educator with an approach to teaching that invites students to think deeply, engage with nuance, and see the world through new eyes. With contagious curiosity and a creative style, he brings timeless ideas into conversation with the questions and complexities of modern life. In his classroom, learning is always a journey, challenging assumptions and broadening horizons.

A musmach of RIETS with Advanced Semichah (Rav Ir) from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and a graduate of Eretz Hemdah’s Manhigut Toranit Program, Rav Aviner has extensive experience teaching and leading in schools, shuls, summer camps and communities. Holding a B.Sc. in Applied Physics and Medical Engineering (Machon Lev) and an M.A. in Science and Halachah (Bar Ilan University), he brings a unique blend of Torah scholarship and scientific and philosophical insight to his teaching. He spent five years as a shaliach in Toronto, serving as Director of Judaic Advancement at Yeshivat Or Chaim and Senior Rabbi of Congregation Ayin L’Tzion. Since his return home to Israel a few years ago, he has been serving as Mashpia at MMY, Rebbi at Midreshet Moriah, and Rav and Head of Chinuch at Camp Dror.
