Chanukah

Chanukah is always a special time at Midreshet Lindenbaum.  We began the chag by lighting candles together with the Israelis, Darkaynu and Amlat students in our lobby on the beautiful menorot that we made.  After candlelighting there was a school wide chagiga and dinner - complete with latkes and sufganiyot.  Later that evening our students planned and executed an incredible and fun tezedaka auction, raising close to $1000 for tzedakah!  Later in the week we took our simcha out of the Midrasha and shared it with the residents of a local nursing home where we went to light the candles with them.
