Recommended LinksBiblical PersonalitiesRabbi Jonathan Mishkin, who teaches the People of the Book class at Midreshet Lindenbaum, has launched a website with an alphebetical listing of every person mentioned in Tanach. Its focus is the literal presentation of the stories and lives of the many people who populate the Bible. Entries contain three pieces of information: (1) The individual's name; (2) Locations where the person appears in; (3) A summary of the personality's life as recorded in the text. The website is a great tool for those who are intereseted in an in-depth study of the development of various biblical personalities, what they learned in their lifetimes and what we are meant to learn from them. The site is an electronic version of his book which can be ordered online. Jewish PrenupAn agunah is a woman whose husband refuses to give her a get (Jewish divorce document) upon request. Refusal to give a get is a form of abuse, and occurs throughout the religious spectrum of the Jewish community. In response to this problem, the Organization for the Resolution of Agunot has launched a website to help educate people as to the advantages of signing a prenup.
According to the organisation only when it is routine that all marrying couples sign a prenuptial agreement will the agunah problem be dramatically reduced.
The organization has the support of leading Orthodox rabbis in America.

The website includes a shiur written by Midreshet Lindenbaum Ram, Rav Brofsky. For the next two years Rav Brofsky's shiur will deal with laws of the festivals. His kashrut and tefilla shiurim are archived; these shiurim are on the subject of Hilchot Tefila, focusing on the Amida, Torah reading and the sanctity of the synagogue. Each topic commences with an examination of the primary sources, tracing the halakha from the relevant gemarot through the rishonim and acharonim.
